Posts: 312 (09/04/08 5:41 PM) Diamond Card Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Tags : bruk, house, top 5, recommendations Well for me it been a little slow in the last couple months for me release wise (being a student again has made me quite picky as the funds don't last) Wondering if anyone else is feeling a sight lull So here my top releases of the moment, perhaps others could do the same, and we could exchange recommedations Reel People - Alibi (Dennis Ferrer's Out On Bail mixes) [Papa] Ayro - Bounce [Groovia Sound Project] Ceramic - Broken Dreams/(Souled remix) [Unique Uncut] Karizma - It's What I Am(Simbad)/Groove A 'K'ordingly [R2] Phlash & Friends - Revolution=Solution [Archive] << Slighty older but was tired of waiting for the full album, so it's a new purchase for me. And whilst on the subject of records Forthcoming stuff i'm looking forward to IG Culture presents - Zen Badizm Bugz - 2nd Remix compilation Altered Natives - bare tunes (RELEASE THEM!!!!! ) 4hero - Look inside (remixes) Anything Izmbad!!! SK Radicals - Troubled times (Bugz remix) [Its this still coming out?] Here comes the trebleo compilation 'The' Dego & Kaidi album!!!! I hear Kaidi is also doing a freedom school album, that should be interesting too Souled new label (forgot the name though) - Release 'funk story' on it!!!! Whatever project these new nutmeg tunes are part of. Anything else to recommend?? For those not familiar with Claussell's Sacred Rhythms label, try out Anthony Nicholson's X.Panded Dimensions 'Oyeji' 12" - I'll go out on a limb and say he's doing his best work now since he was astro-travellin' with Ron Trent in the Prescription days. For those curious try the previous X.Panded Dimensions single 'Space Jungle' and the Bloodfire (no not that one, Miqufaye vs Kung Fu Hz on Circular Motion), he's got an album on the way via Need2Soul soonish. I reckon that it goes with the seasons, musicians hibernating over winter, saving energy till now, wake with a spring in they step. Only now got in so yet to listen to it, but the Gerd, Delgui and Colonol Red trio Milez Benjiman arrived today (etch has it ahead of next week, free instrumentals too, sweet!) also for all you Redheadz, he's on a couple tunes from C.O.N.E first ep. Stuff coming out soon, Ta Raach and Blu duo C.R.A.C Knuckles moved from Sound in Color to Tres, out in a couple weeks, can't wait - though I hope this doesn't mean SIC is out of biz, not leats cause Daz-I-Kue (4hero remix, wow!) mentioned he had something due from them. Speaking of Atlanta, Kai Alce got two 12" coming out one on a new label Planet Harrier withthe almighty Reggie Dokes: http://www.planetharrier.com/catalog/disc/galactic-connectionsin-a-better-place-ep Oakland Raiders tip, Aybee, Deepblak crew alive and well, also Blaktronik album due in May. Detroit, Terrence Dixon all over the place (in a good way, LP last year was top) while Andres is back on Mahogani records, KDJ putting out lots of goodies for the open minded soul...its hard enough keeping up, but feel its important to give em an earfull when you do. In particular Stab. Domu played it when he sat in for Benji B a few weeks back. Love that tune. To be honest love all stuff released under the Nutmeg alter ego. Should rename Stab though to football related name to go with Bicycle Kick, Porno Football, Set Piece Punishment etc. How about Flat Back Four? Catenaccio? Libero? Target Man?

JM - Rise Resolution in Elimination Mode, deadly! Daco label, will keep on the lookout. Giving it a couple spins so far, Milez album is p-funky! Good to hear Nick Goya getting back in the fray, maybe those IG, Pino mixes of Buki Cole and Free Radicals will finally see the light of day, after what almost three years, will give it a dozen respins at least to make up for lost time. BTW the X.Panded Dimensions song is actually called Oweyi, sorry didn't have the record at hand for those who had no luck searching, there's a 7" out now as well, and the sleeve says there's two album, 3xlp and 4xlp on the way, I'd better start saving lol. Couple things I wanted to add already, J Rawls and Middle Child, big fan of Rawls and interested to hear more of Middle Child on vocals, also anyone remember Liquid Crystal Project tune 'Too Personal' beautiful vocals by Tiffany Paige, she's got a solo album due on Shaman Works, oh and Count Bass D saying on his site that he's almost ready with L7. That said, things are a little slow. No doubt Nick Rees will be releasing some crisp tunes soon...
