We were talking about Atari's and dongals. quarter inch reels
and reel to reel recorders. The days when doing drop ins were almost unheard of. You had to belt out ya verse in one take cos in most
instances drop ins weren't cutting it. Having to carry around...

record it onto the tape. Take it out and work out some scratches and put another tape in. By the time I was done I'd have a full some but with wak quality.
From that I'd book a studio, were we used to pay £5 per hour and book 6 hours (back then half your giro was gone) and create music. It made making music a

the top, then swap again for the next take and so on. Serious quality reduction on each take!

Eventually upgraded to an old second hand Fostex 4-track. Felt like a real producer when I got that! After a while I got myself an Akai S950, but I didn't
have anything to sequence it with so I used to play it with the sample...

about them buying an Akai S950 and it costing them an arm and a leg!!
I think its an amazing thing today that people have so much access to music technology, with new minds come ne ideas, so I guess its about letting people
develop and experiment with sound, unfortunatly, everybody wants to get rich off music, which means that...
